The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries has recently awarded the Town of Marshfield and "Friends of Peter Igo Park" (501c Non-Profit organization) a Public Access Grant of $10,000 for a float and other access-related work at Peter Igo Park.
The funds will be used to extend the existing dock into the Green Harbor River and provide a walkway and other amenities to improve the accessibility to this river particularly during high tides. Marshfield residents will be able to enjoy this scenic location and provide an easy setting to launch their kayaks and canoes.
